Cookie Policy and Settings

This policy describes the use of cookies and other similar data storage technologies (such as the browser's local storage, or localStorage) on our website. At Oficina Sanitas Majadahonda, as an exclusive Sanitas insurance agent, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our users and customers. Below, we detail which tracking technologies we use, what data we collect, and how you can configure your browser or withdraw your consent at any time. 1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

A cookie is a small text file that is downloaded onto your computer, smartphone, tablet, or similar device when you access certain web pages. Among other things, cookies allow browsing habit information about a user or their device to be stored and retrieved and, depending on the information they contain and how the device is used, they can be used to recognize the user.

In addition to traditional cookies, this website may make use of local storage technologies in the user's browser (such as localStorage or sessionStorage). These tools serve a function similar to cookies (storing configuration data on the client side) but offer greater storage capacity and security, with the advantage that the stored information is not automatically transmitted to the server with every HTTP request, which substantially improves the speed and overall performance of the web page.

2. Types of cookies by purpose, management and duration

To make things as clear as possible, in line with the guidelines of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), we classify cookies and equivalent technologies according to the following criteria:

A. According to the entity that manages them:

• First-party cookies: These are sent to the user's device from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself (in this case, our own server) and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
• Third-party cookies: These are sent to the user's device from a computer or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but by another associated entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies (for example, Google).

B. According to the length of time they remain active:

• Session cookies: Designed to collect and store browsing data only while the user accesses and browses the website. They are automatically deleted when the session ends or the browser is closed.
• Persistent cookies: These are cookies in which the data remains stored on the user's device and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the party responsible for the cookie, which can range from a few minutes to several years.

C. According to their purpose:

• Technical or functional: Ensure that the website functions correctly and allow the user to browse and use its various options or services (for example, identifying the session or remembering consent decisions). They are strictly necessary and do not require user consent.
• Personalization or preference cookies: Allow information to be remembered so that the user accesses the service with certain characteristics that may differentiate their experience (for example, the browsing language or the appearance of the map).
• Statistical or analytics (measurement) cookies: Allow us to quantify and analyze, using pseudonymous identifiers, the number of visitors and their behavior on the website in order to introduce improvements based on the actual use that users make of the services.
• Marketing or behavioral advertising cookies: Store information about user behavior obtained through continuous observation of their browsing habits, making it possible to develop a specific profile to display targeted advertising.

3. Cookies used on this website

Below is a detailed inventory of the cookies and of the local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage) items that this website may use in your browser:

Except for sanitas_ad_click, which is only stored if you allow advertising cookies, the first-party storage items in the table work regardless of what you choose in the cookie notice: they are needed for the website and its forms to work, or they only store a flag or a label with no personal identifier. Session storage items are deleted when you close the tab.

In addition to the cookies above, if you allow analytics cookies we use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views in aggregate form. We also use Vercel Speed Insights, which loads for every visitor without requiring consent, because it only collects aggregated performance metrics (page load times and responsiveness, such as INP). Neither tool sets cookies or uses cross-site identifiers, and neither identifies an individual user across visits. Vercel Inc. acts as our data processor for both.

If you allow analytics cookies, we also use Microsoft Clarity, a behavioral analytics tool that generates heatmaps and session recordings of clicks and scrolling, linked to a pseudonymous identifier, to help us understand how you browse the site and improve its usability. Whatever you type in form fields is masked and is not recorded, and Clarity is paused on the online sign-up form, which it never records. We pass Clarity your consent signal: analytics storage granted and advertising storage denied. Clarity sets the first-party cookies _clck, _clsk, and CLID detailed in the table, and Microsoft may also set additional cookies (MUID, ANONCHK, SM) linked to its measurement ecosystem. 4. Consent and settings on this site

The first time you visit our website, you are shown a cookie notice. Its first layer explains that, if you accept, we will use analytics cookies (Google and Microsoft) and, with “Accept all”, also advertising cookies based on your browsing (Google). It offers three buttons of equal prominence, “Reject”, “Analytics only” and “Accept all”, plus “Customise”, which opens the settings panel, and “More information”, which takes you to this policy. The notice has no close (X) button: you simply choose one of the options. Until you choose, only the necessary items work.

The “Cookie settings” panel groups cookies into three categories: Necessary (always on: they store your choice and make the calculator and forms work, and do not require consent), Analytics (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, off by default) and Advertising (Google Ads, off by default). From the panel you can choose “Reject all”, “Save selection” or “Accept all”. A “Cookie settings” button is always available in the footer of every page, so you can reopen the panel and change your choice whenever you like.

This is what each category activates:

• Analytics (“Analytics only”, “Accept all” or the Analytics switch in the panel): the Google Analytics 4 cookies (_ga, _ga_*), by granting analytics_storage in Google's Consent Mode; Microsoft Clarity (session recordings of clicks and scrolling, with form fields masked and never on the online sign-up form); and Vercel Web Analytics.
• Advertising (“Accept all” or the Advertising switch in the panel): Google Ads, by granting ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization, to measure which ads bring us enquiries (conversions) and to show you our ads on Google based on the pages you visited here (remarketing). The identifier of the ad click that brought you to the website (gclid, wbraid or gbraid) is kept for 90 days in your browser's local storage (sanitas_ad_click).
• Google Maps: the interactive map in the contact section only loads if you click “Load the map” or if you chose “Accept all”.

If you choose “Reject” or “Reject all”, or have not yet decided, no analytics or advertising cookie is installed.

This site uses Google's Consent Mode v2 in its advanced mode. If you reject analytics or advertising cookies, or have not yet decided, the Google tag still loads but does not set or read cookies for the categories you have not allowed. Instead, it sends Google cookieless pings: they contain no cookie identifiers, but they do include technical information such as your browser's user agent, the referring page, whether the page address contained an ad-click identifier, your consent status and a random number generated for each page, and, as with any connection, Google receives your IP address. We have also enabled Google's ad data redaction (ads_data_redaction), which removes ad-click identifiers from these requests while advertising is denied. Google uses these pings to model (statistically estimate) the conversions of our advertising. You can find out more in the official Google documentation on Consent Mode.

The website's fonts are served locally from our own server, thereby avoiding any direct connection to Google Fonts and preventing your IP address from being tracked.

Manage my consent

We keep your choice for a maximum of 24 months. After that, or whenever we update this policy (current version: September 30, 2026), we will ask you again. Withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it, and it takes effect immediately: analytics and advertising stop straight away, we delete the Microsoft Clarity cookies (_clck, _clsk, CLID) and, if Clarity was running at that moment, the page reloads. Cookies already set by Google can be deleted from your browser settings (see section 5).

Below you can see your current choice at any time. “Cookie settings” opens the settings panel so you can change it, and “Reject all (withdraw consent)” withdraws your consent with a single click:

5. Disabling and deleting cookies via your browser

You can allow, block, or delete the cookies installed on your device at any time by configuring the settings of the browser you use on your device. If you decide to disable them, some website features (such as loading the office map) may no longer work optimally.

To disable Google Analytics tracking specifically on all the websites you visit, you can use Google's official browser opt-out add-on for Google Analytics: tools.google.com/gaoptout.

6. International data transfers

Accepting third-party cookies (such as those from Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Maps and Microsoft Clarity) involves the processing of your data by these associated entities, which are located in the United States (Google LLC and Microsoft Corporation). The cookieless Consent Mode pings described in section 4 are also received by Google.

However, both Google LLC and Microsoft Corporation are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, approved by the European Commission through an adequacy decision. This ensures that the international transfer of personal data is carried out under security and protection conditions equivalent to the standards of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union.
