What to write in your first message: three details are enough

Your first message doesn't need to be long. To give you a price we need three details: the age of each person to be insured, your postcode and the plan you're interested in (with or without copays). If you're not sure which plan to choose, just say so and we'll explain the difference. A message like this is enough: “Hello. I'd like to buy Sanitas. I'm 35, I live in 28015 and I'm looking for a plan with no copays.” You don't need to give any health details for the price: the health questionnaire goes in the application and we fill it in with you later.

With those three details we reply with your price. For that message it would be Más Salud with no copays, paid monthly: €116.82 a month on the Sanitas rates of April 2026 (one insured person aged 35 with a Madrid postcode and a start date up to 31 December 2026). The first payment also includes €2.10 for the Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros surcharge. Any postcode starting with 28 gives the same price: in the Sanitas rates the whole Community of Madrid shares one table. We confirm the final price when we prepare your application. If you're switching from another insurer or the policy is for a visa, mention it in your first message too: it changes what we'll ask you.

What happens after you write: from price to signature

After the price come the questions: what each plan covers, what copays it has, what waiting periods apply or whether your doctor is in the Sanitas network. We answer them on WhatsApp or in a call. Once you're sure, we prepare your Sanitas application. We fill in the health questionnaire with you over a Google Meet video call or at the office, question by question. A misunderstood answer can leave out of your cover exactly what you need later. Finally you sign digitally and send us the DNI, NIE or passport of each insured person.

Once the paperwork is complete, sign-up usually takes less than 12 hours and sometimes happens within the hour. It can take longer if there's a health declaration to review or the payment is pending. The policy always starts on the 1st of a month. Your price doesn't depend on where the office is: it depends on your age, your postcode and the plan. If you'd rather meet in person, our office is at Calle Santiago Apóstol 5 in Majadahonda (Community of Madrid). It's about 20 to 25 minutes from central Madrid on the A-6, and by Cercanías commuter train you can take lines C-7 and C-10 to Majadahonda station. It opens without an appointment Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 6 pm, and on Fridays from 9 am to 3 pm. You can also start on WhatsApp and only come in to sign.

Which office to write to: you can check the service beforehand

Sanitas lists 23 offices on its Madrid offices page, in the city and in other towns in the region. They all sell Sanitas insurance. What changes from one to another is how they look after you: whether they reply, in what language, who helps you with the questionnaire and who is there after you sign up. You can check that before you write, in the Google Maps reviews. Look at the rating and also at how many reviews back it up: a 5.0 over hundreds of reviews says more than one over a dozen.

Third: the policy is issued by Sanitas, S.A. de Seguros. If you pay by bank transfer, the account holder is Sanitas S.A.
