Sanitas in the Sierra and West of Madrid: Where You Are Treated, Town by Town

The nearest own hospital: La Zarzuela, in Aravaca

For the whole area the nearest Sanitas own hospital is Hospital Universitario Sanitas La Zarzuela, at Calle Pléyades 25 in Aravaca (switchboard 91 585 80 00). It is the only Sanitas own hospital in the west of the Community of Madrid and has adult and children's emergencies 24 hours a day. From the sierra you get there on the A-6, from the two Villanuevas and Brunete on the M-503 and from Villaviciosa de Odón on the M-501 and the M-40. There are no Sanitas own medical centres in these towns, but you have them close by via the A-6 or the M-503: the nearest are in Las Rozas (Európolis) and in Boadilla, the latter with advanced rehabilitation. From Villaviciosa de Odón you also have Centro Médico Sanitas Alcorcón nearby (Avenida de la Libertad, on the corner of Concepción Arenal). It is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 21:00 and Saturdays from 9:00 to 14:00, with continuous-care paediatrics Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 21:00 with same-day appointments, and clinical tests without an appointment.

Three Sanitas Milenium dental clinics: Torrelodones, Collado Villalba and Villanueva del Pardillo

They are clinics in the Sanitas Milenium network, the one used by the basic dental cover included in Más Salud and by the Dental Milenium and Premium supplements. In Torrelodones it is opposite the Town Hall (Ayuntamiento), at Calle Rufino Torres 2 (918 59 36 41). It is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 20:30, and Fridays from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 20:00. In Collado Villalba it is at Calle Real 56 (918 49 60 65) and is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 21:00.

In Villanueva del Pardillo it is at Avenida de Madrid, on the corner of Calle Mallorca (918 15 07 23), and is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 21:00. None of the three opens at weekends, and dental emergencies are seen during opening hours if you call first. If it suits you better, in the northwest post you have the clinics in Majadahonda, Las Rozas and Pozuelo. The Majadahonda and Las Rozas clinics also open on Saturdays from 9:00 to 15:00.

Hospitals in the medical network for admissions and operations

In the sierra the partner medical network includes HM Torrelodones, with general emergencies 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and paediatric emergencies from 9:00 to 21:00. For Brunete and the two Villanuevas there is Hospital Los Madroños (Brunete), a general hospital with 24-hour general emergencies and a reference centre for neurorehabilitation. For Villaviciosa de Odón HM Puerta del Sur (Móstoles) is close by, with general, paediatric and gynaecological emergencies 24 hours a day. And in between them is HM Montepríncipe (Boadilla), also with all three emergency services 24 hours a day.

If you need emergency care for a child at night, you have 24-hour paediatric emergencies at La Zarzuela (Aravaca), Quirónsalud Pozuelo, HM Montepríncipe (Boadilla) and HM Puerta del Sur (Móstoles). Hospital General de Villalba and Hospital El Escorial are public hospitals of the Community of Madrid and are not part of the Sanitas medical network. The sierra: Torrelodones, Collado Villalba, Moralzarzal and Galapagar

Torrelodones is the town in the area with the most specialties in the network: the Sanitas finder lists 33, including allergology, cardiology, dermatology, gynaecology, neurology, ophthalmology, medical oncology, paediatrics, rehabilitation, traumatology and urology. In Collado Villalba it lists 21 specialties: cardiology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, gynaecology, ophthalmology, paediatrics, psychology and traumatology, among others. In Moralzarzal it lists another 21, including dermatology, ear, nose and throat, psychiatry and urology. In Galapagar it lists 10: gynaecology, paediatrics, psychology, physiotherapy, podiatry and traumatology, among others.

Further up, the network focuses on everyday care. In Alpedrete the finder lists 7 specialties, including gynaecology, allergology and traumatology. In Guadarrama there is general medicine, nursing and clinical tests, and in Collado Mediano, general medicine and a dentist. Hoyo de Manzanares does not have its own page in the medical network finder and the nearest options are in Torrelodones. For a specialist you don't have in your town, Villalba and Torrelodones are close at hand via the A-6.

El Escorial and San Lorenzo de El Escorial

The Sanitas medical network finder lists 10 specialties in San Lorenzo de El Escorial: allergology, dermatology, gynaecology, ophthalmology, paediatrics and traumatology, as well as general medicine, nursing, clinical tests and a dentist. In El Escorial it lists 5: general medicine, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, psychology and a dentist. For an admission or an operation you have HM Torrelodones in the network (via the A-6), and the own hospital is La Zarzuela. Hospital El Escorial is public and is not in the Sanitas network.

The west: Villanueva de la Cañada, Villanueva del Pardillo, Brunete and Villaviciosa de Odón

In Brunete the Sanitas medical network finder lists 28 specialties, including cardiology, general and vascular surgery, pulmonology, neurology, ophthalmology, ear, nose and throat, paediatrics, psychiatry, traumatology and a pain unit. In Villanueva de la Cañada it lists 20 specialties: cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, pulmonology, paediatrics, psychiatry and urology, among others. In Villanueva del Pardillo it lists 17 specialties, including allergology, dermatology, endocrinology, gynaecology, ophthalmology and traumatology. The town also has its Sanitas Milenium dental clinic.

In Villaviciosa de Odón it lists 23 specialties, including cardiology, dermatology, gynaecology, neurology, paediatrics, psychiatry, rehabilitation and urology. For whatever you don't have there, Centro Médico Sanitas Alcorcón and HM Puerta del Sur are close by. If you study at one of the university campuses in Villanueva de la Cañada and come from outside the European Union, we also arrange the insurance for your student visa at the office.

Older people: the Sanitas care homes in Torrelodones and El Escorial

Sanitas Mayores has two care homes in the area. The one in Torrelodones is in the Los Robles estate (Calle Álamo 2) and has single and double rooms, its own doctor and nursing staff, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and neurorehabilitation. The one in El Escorial is in the Los Arroyos estate (Calle Nueve 9) and has gardens, a vegetable garden and its own kitchen. Both hold the ISO 9001 seal and CEOMA's restraint-free centre seal. Information is available Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:30 on 900 533 482. For the sierra and the Villanuevas, the nearest one with a day centre is the Las Rozas home, at Avenida de Atenas 5. Note: the care home is a Sanitas Mayores service that is paid separately, not a cover of the health insurance.

All these municipalities have Sanitas's Madrid rates, the same as Majadahonda or Madrid city. With the April 2026 prices, a couple aged 30 to 34 pays €213.76/month in Más Salud without copays (€106.88 each) for policies with a start date up to 31 December 2026.
